The impacts will be felt throughout Central Washington including Yakima, Benton, Kittitas, and Klickitat counties. Grants include replacement of wildland firefighting equipment for the City of Yakima Fire Department, PTSD service dog training for Service Peace Warriors, and hospice/end of life support for Heartlinks, Chaplaincy Healthcare, and Cottage in the Meadow The organizations receiving a distribution comprise many communities, and this year, grants awarded range from $1,500 to $25,000 per recipient. With the devastating fires that swept the state in late August and early September and the impacts of COVID-19 rippling through our communities, the focus in 2020 centered around public safety and health. On Wednesday, October 7, the casino funded $378,988 in grants to 69 nonprofit organizations. TOPPENISH, WASH.- Nearly 70 non-profit organizations received funding from Legenda Casino Hotel through the Yakama Cares program.
